A visible tooth
Unlike alligators, the fourth tooth on the bottom jaw of crocodiles can be seen when the mouth is closed.
Armored skin
Many species of crocodilians have bony segments embedded in the skin making the skin very tough and thick.

Habitat/Range
Tropical lowland areas of mainland Southeast Asia and a few islands in Indonesia
Wild Diet
Fish, Rodents, and Birds
Predators
Birds of prey (hatchlings), Large lizards (eggs and hatchlings), Small mammals (eggs and hatchlings), and Humans (adults)
Reproduction
Up to 50 eggs are laid inside a mound-shaped nest made of vegetation and dirt. The young take approximately 3 months to hatch.
Conservation
Severely endangered or extinct in the wild.
May be extinct in the wild. Captive populations are fairly sizable and due to conservation efforts are currently stable.
