European cities and wetlands during breeding and summers; open country of Africa during winters

Insects, Small mammals, Fish, and Aquatic invertebrates
Predators
Wild cats, Feral dogs, and Humans
Reproduction
This bird often nests in close proximity to humans, utilizing roofs, chimneys, and man-made nesting platforms.
Conservation
ENDANGERED
Although protected, the white stork has been extirpated from many areas of Europe. Reintroduction programs are in place in Switzerland, France, and Italy.
