Peahens and peachicks
Males are called peacocks, females are called peahens, and chicks are called peachicks. Collectively, they are called peafowl.

Habitat/Range
Forests and cultivated areas adjacent to human settlements in India. Peafowl have been introduced to many parts of the world.

Grain, Insects, Small reptiles, and Small mammals
Predators
Foxes, Hawks, and Feral cats
Reproduction
The female incubates her 3 to 8 eggs in a simple nest. After a 30-day incubation period, the chicks hatch and immediately begin to follow their mother on foraging trips.
Conservation
STABLE
The peafowl has been successfully introduced in many parts of the world.
