The exhibition features 108 photographs dramatically displayed as illuminated large-format color transparencies. The winning images were chosen from more than 40,000 entries by aspiring amateurs and established professional photographers from all corners of the earth.
“This spectacular exhibition outdoes itself each year, showcasing the very best photographic images of wildlife from around the world,” said Ron Kagan, Executive Director of the Detroit Zoological Society.
A hardback commemorative portfolio book of the winning photographs is available for sale at Zoofari Market.
Now in its 47th year, the Wildlife Photographer of the Year competition is co-owned by the Natural History Museum, London and BBC Worldwide.
