| Gilda's Club Metro Detroit, a non-profit community that provides emotional and social support for anyone affected by a cancer diagnosis. Gilda's Club is named in honor of the late comedian and former Detroiter Gilda Radner. Her dream was to create places where people living with cancer and their families and friends could gather to support one another and celebrate life. The goal is to provide a home-like meeting place and free program where anyone living with cancer can: build friendships, share the collective wisdom of experience, and develop strategies for living with cancer. Registration begins at 8 a.m. and the walk begins at 8:45 a.m. Please go to our walk website at http://www.gildasclubdetroit.org/comedywalk2007.aspx or call (248) 577-0800 for more information.
