Meet Your Best Friend at the Zoo, the nation’s largest off-site pet adoption event, will be held on September 25 and 26, 2009, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The Detroit Zoo hosts this semiannual event in partnership with the Michigan Humane Society. Nearly 1,000 animals, including dogs, cats, puppies and kittens, were adopted through this event in 2008.
Meet Your Best Friend at the Zoo is free to the public and will take place in the small parking lot beneath the Zoo’s landmark water tower.
