QUIZ ANSWERS:

1. Answer: C. Bush baby. This tiny primate's loud cries helped it to earn it's name. Surprisingly, when it cries out, it sounds much like a human baby.

2. Answer: B. Spider monkey. The spider monkey is the star acrobat among the primates. It's long, thin limbs and prehensile tail allow them to climb easily through the trees as high as 100 feet above ground.

3. Answer: D. Gorillas. The gorilla uses this chest-beating gesture to give warning or show dominance. Intimidating as this display may seem, gorillas are usually quite peaceful animals.

4. Answer: A. Chimpanzee. They are one of the more intelligent animals of the primate order. Often seen using objects as tools, they have also been observed chewing on leaves to make them absorbent, then soaking the leaves in water and sucking on them to get the moisture.

5. Answer: C. Lemurs. Due to their relative isolation, lemurs have little competition for food, and few natural enemies. They are well-suited to their rainforest surroundings, and have remained relatively unchanged from their ancestors.
