Dont' be scared. Find out what animals are arachnids, discover some of the fascinating facts about them, and then help build a giant spider web.
Pre- registration required.

"Just for Homeschoolers - Bark at the Moon"
Discover the dog family's secrets and find out why Michigan's wild canines have never really been "man's best friend".
Pre-registration is required.

Thursday, November 12, 1 p.m.
Explore the surprising story of the germ and put a little perspective on the
"cold season".

“Stop in, See”
Saturday, November 14, and Sunday, November 15, noon to 2 p.m.
No registration is necessary for you to stop in, visit with an interpreter and see the “nature stuff” on display.

“Weekend Walk – Owl Prowl”
Friday, November 20, and Saturday, November 21, noon 
Learn about these nocturnal hunters, and then venture out in the dark with us to see and hear them during this guided walk. Pre-registration required.

Scout  Badge Programs
Earn merit badge requirements by visiting the Belle Isle Nature Zoo!  Bring your troop, pack or den and choose one of our daytime adventures.  All badge requirements are fullfilled in these indoor/outdoor programs. There is a maximum of 35  scouts per program. Most programs do not require a minimum.  Pre-registration is required and no fee. Contact kim.sherwin@metroparks.com  or the Belle Isle Nature Zoo (313) 852-4056 ext.201.
