“Urban Oasis Nature Walk”
Thursday, July 3 at 8:30 a.m.
Find nature without leaving Detroit.  Rise and shine and enjoy some green with a nature walk inside the city limits.  Pre-registration required.

“Webelos – Forester”
Sunday, July 13 at 1 p.m.
All badge requirements will be fulfilled during this indoor/outdoor program.  Fee: $2 per Scout. Pre-registration required.

“Wednesday Workday”
Wednesday, July 16 at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m.
Volunteers wanted to tackle new projects.  No experience necessary.

“Belle Isle Cribs”
Sunday, July 20 at 1 p.m.
Check out Belle Isle’s finest homes created and used by the creatures of Belle Isle.  Pre-registration required.

“Just for Homeschoolers – Butterfly Study Part 2”
Thursday, July 24 at 1 p.m.
In this second of a two-part butterfly investigation, students will explore wings.  Pre-registration required.

“Creature Feature – Night Musicians”
Saturday, July 26 at 2 p.m.
Discover something new about the world and find out who’s making the music of the night in Michigan.  Pre-registration required.

“Brownies – Plants”
Sunday, July 27 at 1 p.m.
All badge requirements will be fulfilled during this indoor/outdoor program.  Fee: $2 per Scout.  Pre-registration required.

August, 2008

“Leave-No-Trace Camping”
Sunday, August 3 at 11 a.m.
Leave-No-Trace camping leaves little impact on the environment.  Learn some methods to help you leave the least footprints possible.  Pre-registration required.

“Wednesday Workday”
Wednesday, August 6 at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m.
Volunteers are needed to help the Nature Zoo finish some projects.  Pre-registration required.

“Junior Girl Scouts – Earth Connections”
Sunday, August 10 at 1 p.m.
All badge requirements will be fulfilled during this indoor/outdoor program.  Fee: $2 per Scout.  Pre-registration required.

“Just for Homeschoolers – Field Trip”
Thursday, August 14 at 12 noon
Hit the road with Belle Isle Nature Zoo interpreters and make a day of it.  Pre-registration required.

“Creature Feature – Sea Shells”
Saturday, August 16 at 2 p.m.
Discover something new about the world and explore the fun facts behind summertime beach finds.  Pre-registration required.

“Brownies – Senses”
Sunday, August 17 at 1 p.m.
All badge requirements will fulfilled during this indoor/outdoor program.  Fee: $2 per Scout.  Pre-registration required.
