Tributes and Memorials

The Detroit Zoo is a cherished part of our lives, our children's lives and our grandchildren's lives. Visits to the Zoo are often some of our fondest memories. Now you have the opportunity to make those memories a part of our Zoo.

The Detroit Zoo Tribute Program offers a variety of options for the perfect gift to commemorate someone or something special in your life.

	Bench $5,000 for new bench $2,000 for existing bench When you purchase a bench, your gift will include the purchase and placement of the bench and a brass recognition plaque. The style and location of the bench will be mutually agreed upon between Zoo representatives and the donor. Additional landscaping or structural work will be the responsibility of the donor.
	Theater Seat $750 $500 Theater seats are located in the Wild Adventure 3-D/4-D Theater in the Ford Education Center. You will have the opportunity to choose the location of your seat (based on availability). A brass plaque will be placed on your theater seat.
	Brass Butterfly $500 An engraved brass butterfly is the perfect way to commemorate a wedding, birthday, engagement, the life of a friend, pet or family member. The brass butterfly will be engraved and placed on the interior brick wall of the Wildlife Interpretive Gallery, at the entrance of the Butterfly Garden. Order a Brass Butterfly
	Tree $5,000 Your gift includes the purchase and planting of a tree and recognition plaque. The type of tree and its location will be determined by the Zoo’s horticultural staff. Trees will be maintained by Zoo staff and will be removed and replaced when necessary.
	Nature Paver $1,000 for 12x12” paver $900 for Zoo and Renaissance Circle members Inscription area has a max of 7 lines and 21 spaces per line $500 for 8x8” paver $450 for Zoo and Renaissance Circle members Inscription area has a max of 5 lines and 14 spaces per line $100 for 4x8” paver $90 for Zoo and Renaissance Circle members Inscription area has a max of 3 lines and 14 spaces per line. Order confirmation will be mailed after purchase, and placement confirmation with locater map will be mailed upon completion of paver installment. Pavers are installed only in the fall and spring.
