Becoming a Detroit Zoological Society member has never been easier!

  1. Now you can join/renew online at our secure site.
  2. You can take advantage of your member benefits immediately. (You will receive a confirmation email that will serve as a temporary card until you receive your permanent cards in the mail.)
  3. Gift memberships can also be purchased and sent directly to the gift recipient.
Plus, your membership also supports our efforts to rescue hundreds of abused and abandoned animals each year – including a female polar bear confiscated from a traveling circus in Puerto Rico, three lions rescued from a Kansas junkyard and, most recently, over a thousand animals seized in a raid on a Texas exotic animal dealer.
