Sharing Your World (Bear Scouts)
Bear Scouts will discover how zoos protect and save wildlife and learn about endangered species. Scouts will also find out how they can live safely with wildlife. Cost is $2 per person, plus admission.

Naturalist's Pin (Webelos Scouts)
Webelos will be taught how to identify venomous snakes found in their area, learn ways humans have changed the balance of nature, and become aware of what people can do to help protect the environment. Scouts will also learn the dynamics of a food chain of an ecosystem. Cost is $2 per person, plus admission.

Reptile and Amphibian Merit Badge (Boy Scouts)
Boy scouts and an adult will tour the zoo with a member of the Education Department, visiting the Backyards for Wildlife Site, National Amphibian Conservation Center wetland area, Holden Museum of Living Reptiles and other habitats as time allows. A Zoo merit badge counselor will review requirements for their merit badge and teach about Michigan native and non-native species. adult/scout pair and includes admission, with a maximum of 2 pairs. Program lasts
about 3 hours. |

Zoo Patch (All Scouts)
Order a unique zoo patch for your scouts! The patch comes with a self-guided Zoo trek that you can use on your next visit to the Zoo to visit many of our animal residents throughout the Zoo and take a closer look at what makes them successful in their habitats. Self-guided tour and patches are mailed upon request. You do not need to choose a time or date to visit the Zoo. Cost is $2 per patch/trek package. |

Brownie Animal Try-It (Brownies)
Discover the world of animals at the Detroit Zoo. Take a tour and learn how enjoy animals in a safe way, learn how animals move and how they have adaptated to their different environments. Cost is $2 per person, plus admission.

Brownie Eco Explorer Try-It (Brownies)
Join one of our volunteer educators to become an Eco-Explorer. Our written trek will guide you as you learn how plants and animals live together in the environment! Cost is $2 per person, plus admission.

Junior Wildlife Badge (Junior Girl Scouts)
Junior Girl Scouts will learn how zoos provide habitats for wildlife and what zoos are doing to protect endangered species. Scouts will also learn about wildlife groups; mammals, birds, reptiles, amphibians, and much more. Cost is $2 per person, plus admission.

| Earn merit badge requirements by visiting the Belle Isle Nature Zoo! Bring your troop, pack or den and choose one of our day time adventures. All badge requirements are fulfilled in these indoor/outdoor programs. The Belle Isle Nature Zoo does not supply badges. |
