Animals After Dark Overnights

Come to a unique nature experience for youth groups, scouts, and families and explore and discover the zoo in a way very different from most visitors’ experiences. A participant offered the following when asked what his favorite part of the program was, "Viewing the animals. I saw more 'unique' animal behavior in one night than in years of attending the Zoo." Overnight Programs are offered year-round. The 2010 calendar is available below!

Are you planning a night at the Zoo? Come wearing our Animals After Dark T-shirt!The tiger face on the front glows in the dark! Please call our Education Registrar at 248-541-5717 ext. 3800 to order yours. Availabile in Child Small, Medium, Large and Adult Small, Medium, Large, X-Large and 2XL. Shirts are $12 each.
















Animals After Dark for Families
Spend the night at the Detroit Zoo! The Animals After Dark program provides a unique nature experience as you explore and discover the Zoo in a way very different from most visitors’ experiences. Program cost is $45 per person. Program starts at 7p.m. and runs until 10 a.m. the following morning. 

Girls’ Night Out: In honor of Women’s History month, join the Zoo to see the work that our Zoo Women have accomplished.

Bear Themed Overnight: In honor of Bear Awareness Week, this overnight is going to the bears! You’ll participate in some special activities and learn about these
interesting creatures.
Date: Friday, May 14

Zoo Boo Overnight: Come for Zoo Boo and spend the night! You’ll come in costume, experience the Zoo Boo trail with staff and participate in some special Halloween themed activities.
