Occasionally, a habitat, attraction or building may be temporarily unavailable to our guests due to construction, maintenance, animal health needs, special events or unforeseen circumstances. This page allows you to learn about which habitats, attractions and concessions are closed and how long they will be out of service. It also keeps you up to date on some exciting projects in progress. We apologize if any of your favorites are unavailable during your planned visit and hope that you will still join us for your dose of Vitamin Z!

Giraffe Update

Giraffes Jabari, Kivuli and their calf, Mpenzi, may be seen inside the giraffe building today and outdoors weather permitting.

At this time of year, certain animals may be viewable to guests intermittently as weather dictates, e.g., anteaters, bush dogs, lemurs, lion-tailed macaques, tree kangaroos, aardvarks, and warthogs. These animals may not be visible on cold mornings but could possibly be seen outdoors later in the day as temperatures rise. This also includes grey-crowned cranes, storks, African spoonbills and the ostrich.

Gorillas, chimpanzees and drills may be seen from the indoor viewing area at Great Apes of Harambee.

Davey the binturong is safely tucked away for the winter. Look for him in the springtime! The pelicans are also staying inside until it's warm.

Fennec foxes can be seen in the former meerkat building.
