On Friday, June 19, 2009, 7-11:30 p.m., the Detroit Zoological Society will host its spectacular annual fundraising gala, Sunset at the Zoo, in the Main Picnic Grove at the Detroit Zoo. Don’t miss this creatively wild, 21-and-older fundraiser celebrating our new arrivals!

The evening’s festivities will include:

• A delicious strolling supper offering tastes of signature dishes from more than 40 of metro Detroit’s renowned restaurants
• Entertaining smooth grooves by Skyline & the Backstreet Horns that will keep guests dancing all night long
• An impressive champagne welcome, Zoo-themed martinis and specialty bars
Sunset Keys, a Silent Auction and a magnificent Live Auction featuring some of the area’s most exquisite merchandise and “Zoo-nique” experiences
• Exclusive access to the Detroit Zoo’s award-winning habitats at twilight
• Mixing with 2,000 of Michigan’s elite Zoo supporters

Attire for the evening is “elegant safari chic.”

The Zoo will close to the public at 2 p.m. on Friday, June 19, in preparation for
Sunset at the Zoo
.

Sunset at the Zoo is a rain-or-shine event.
Sunset tickets are non-refundable.
Guests must be 21 years of age or older.
The Zoo reserves the right to request ID at the door.

($510 per ticket is tax deductible)

• VIP Reception Friday, June 19, 5:30-7 p.m. at the Detroit Zoo’s Rackham Fountain and Dinosauria exhibit
• Admission into Sunset at the Zoo and valet parking
• Recognition in the Sunset program

Patron – $300 each
($210 per ticket is tax deductible)
