Ia Moua Yang
Hmong traditional hand embroidery

The Hmong people of Southeast Asia practiced a religion of animism for many thousands of years, believing powerful spirits of the supernatural resided in animals. In this textile Hmong people and animals are shown in their everyday lives; there is a man cutting bamboo who is about to be attacked by a tiger.
