Bitis gabonica rhinoceros
These beautiful but highly venomous animals have the largest fangs in the snake world, some being more than two inches in length. Found in rain forests and other wooded areas, these snakes blend in to their wooded, leaf-strewn environments incredibly well. They are opportunistic sit-and-wait predators that will eat birds and mammals, as well as frogs and toads. Exceptionally large females may reach lengths of over 6 ft., and may give birth to 50 or more young per season.
