Habitat/Range
Rocky beaches, islands, and ice floes of the northern Atlantic and Pacific oceans
Wild Diet
Fish, Squid, Snails, Crabs, and Clams
Predators
Killer whales, Sharks, Polar bears, and Humans
Reproduction
Born on land, pups must learn to swim soon after birth because they are often washed into the sea by high tides. They are weaned in 4 to 6 weeks.
Conservation
STABLE
Protected in the United States by the Marine Mammal Protection Act.
