Herds consist of several females and a single male. The young are driven from the herd at 2 years of age.
Conservation Status
EXTINCT
Extinct in the wild, there are well over 700 Przewalski's horses in zoos around the world. The asian wild horse Species Survival Plan hopes to return this species to its native range. In fact, reintroduction of some individuals to the wild is now underway.
